Before becoming parents, we worried that traveling with a baby in Japan would be stressful and difficult.
But after actually traveling with our baby, we realized that Japan can be surprisingly baby-friendly.
Many train stations have elevators, clean nursing rooms, and diaper changing spaces. Even small local towns often have helpful facilities for families with children.
One thing we especially appreciate is how safe and quiet many places feel. We can slowly enjoy local cafes, traditional ryokan stays, and peaceful walks with our baby.
Traveling looks different after having a child, but it can also become slower, warmer, and more meaningful.
In this blog, we want to share our experiences of parenting and traveling in Japan as a family.
